Above photo taken on Oct. 2, 2009 as we set off for a 71/2 mile hike at Pauline Lake in Oregon.   This is about 3.5 years post Ted's diagnosis.   We took two other hikes that day to make it a grand 14 miles. We have the blisters to show for it!  Ted injured his shoulder trying to keep me from sliding down an 800 foot scree field.  Despite that litte event, this trip was fantastic.

Only good photo of me!  Must be because it's so far away.

Snow storm on our way out.  Sunny and almost 70 in Vancouver when we got home.

Photo taken at Harvard on our Dana Farber visit to Boston on July 9, 2009.  We got the grand tour of Harvard because my cousin works there.  Thanks Rick!

Photos taken March 30, 2009- 2 years and 10 months past Ted's diagnosis.

We just got back from a second honeymoon in Carlsbad, California.  Photos include a wonderful ride over the cliffs of Torrey Pines, CA strapped to a paraglider.  Ted went first.  I almost chickened out but decided to take the leap.  I'm so glad I did.  What a great experience.  The first four images are Ted's take off.  I'm in the landing pictures. We're just dots in the sky!

The shot below is Katy over La Jolla.  Ted is in the four photos above.

We also visited the Carlsbad Flower Fields on our anniversary.  We were married there 13 years ago, March 30, 1996.  Our wedding was captured on a TV show called The Wedding Story.

We also went to one of our favorite hangouts in San Diego-Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma.   Katy above photo at Point Loma.  Ted is below.

A trip to California wouldn't be complete without a visit to Universal Studios.  We used to live about ten minutes from the theme park and and have lots of memories there.  Ted got this shot of a Jelly Bean Marilyn Monroe.
We had a great room at the Universal Studios Hilton.  Somehow I managed a free upgrade!  Funny how that happens sometimes.
